Saving the Planet is good for business

Saving the Planet, political activism, & philanthropy have done wonders for Patagonia’s business. It is strong branding for the company and builds a community of green consumers, strategically positioning the company in a niche gaining high traction. On the other hand PG&E has filed for bankruptcy, a situation that has precipitated due to the company's ignorance of the worsening environmental conditions. All this points to the fact that conglomerates need to take notice of the on-going climate crisis and incorporate it into their business strategy, not only for philanthropic reasons, but strong financial reasons as well. Saving the planet is after all emerging to be good for business.
