The Influencer Reality

The global Instagram Influencer market is set to reach $2.38bn in 2019. There are the big Influencers, ones with 100k+ following. And then there are micro-influencers, ones with following between 10k & 100k. These micro-influencers are a fast growing category in the industry at present.

However glamorous their lives may seem online, the reality is very different. Not all micro influencers make as much money, some of them have 'imposter syndrome', and they're rarely as confident as they seem on their Instagram. There is also the rising problem of accounts with fake followers; a lot of brands are trying to not work with such social media personalities.
